The Emirates Air Line has opened, providing a quick and direct route across the Thames.
You can enjoy an exciting 1.1km cable car journey from Emirates Greenwich Peninsula near the O2 Arena and North Greenwich Tube station to Emirates Royal Docks near Royal Victoria DLR station and the ExCeL Centre.
Stunning views
Rising to a height of 90 metres, the Emirates Air Line is a unique travel experience, giving spectacular views across the city, including St Paul's Cathedral, the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich, the Thames Barrier and the Olympic Park.
Better connections
The Emirates Air Line has been constructed as an additional river crossing east of Tower Bridge.
The cable car, which is sponsored by Emirates, connects local communities and provides new journey options for business and leisure trips and, by attracting visitors and tourists will help to regenerate areas on both sides of the Thames.

Over 2,000 passengers per hour can be carried in each direction.
Cabins arrive every 30 seconds and journey time is around five minutes in peak hours and around 10 minutes in the off peak.
Fully accessible, with step-free access and space for bicycles in each cabin.
